What is CoolTone?
CoolTone, a nonsurgical muscle toning procedure using Magnetic Muscle Stimulation (MMS), is FDA cleared for the abdomen, buttocks, and thighs as of 2023, with ongoing research for more areas. Developed as part of the CoolSculpting portfolio, CoolTone employs paddles strapped to the body. These paddles contain a coil that generates a magnetic field, causing super-maximal muscle contractions by bypassing sensory nerves. The result? The equivalent of 20,000 perfect squats (or crunches) without the post-workout soreness. To supercharge your workouts, consider a series of CoolTone treatments, scheduled 2x a week for 3-4 weeks, tailored to your activity level and goals.
Does CoolTone work?
Clients frequently experience an immediate increase in strength, particularly after the fourth treatment in a CoolTone series. CoolTone is known for its tangible effects. It enhances strength, engagement, muscle endurance, and tone. While visible results may also manifest, the emphasis is on the noticeable difference you’ll feel.
For the most prominent CoolTone outcomes, clients with minimal body fat are often the best candidates. Many opt for CoolSculpting Elite treatments to address fat reduction and subsequently pursue CoolTone sessions for muscle definition and toning.
During a free consultation, we can delve into your objectives and craft a tailored recommendation that suits your unique needs.
What is the difference between CoolSculpting and CoolTone?
CoolSculpting focuses on fat reduction, while CoolTone targets muscle enhancement. Based on your objectives, our team can tailor a personalized plan to best achieve your desired outcomes. If your goals involve boosting strength, enduring longer periods of standing, alleviating back pain, or enhancing muscle definition and tone, CoolTone is an excellent treatment option. Conversely, if you’re dealing with pinchable fat or desire a slimmer feel, CoolSculpting Elite effectively targets stubborn fat.
It’s crucial to note that neither treatment is intended for weight loss. Both CoolSculpting Elite and CoolTone are aesthetic procedures and are not typically covered by insurance. Ideal candidates are content with their overall weight and body but seek to either enhance muscle strength or reduce persistent fat deposits.
How long after CoolSculpting before I can do CoolTone?
Our standard procedure involves waiting a minimum of 6 weeks after CoolSculpting treatment before commencing a CoolTone regimen. CoolTone treatments can begin immediately in areas that haven’t undergone CoolSculpting. The reason for this waiting period is due to the temporary numbness often experienced by clients following CoolSculpting. During CoolTone sessions, your provider relies on real-time feedback regarding sensation and muscle engagement. If any numbness persists in the treated area, providing the necessary feedback for optimal results becomes challenging.
If you still experience numbness after your CoolSculpting treatment, it’s advisable to delay your CoolTone treatment.
