Reputation Comes From Reviews
Consider reviews as online breathing testimonials. Do your research and make sure you’re checking for specific CoolSculpting reviews.
- READ: Read as many CoolSculpting Dallas reviews as you can online. Don’t forget the responses from the business too!

What is CoolSculpting?
Everything You Want to Know.
Getting rid of stubborn fat can be frustrating, especially if you’re working hard on eating a well-balanced diet accompanied by regular exercise. Sometimes, it doesn’t matter how hard you work, you just have a problem area – or a place that you’ve always struggled with no matter how hard you work. For most people we talk to, there are just some areas that don’t want to burn that extra unwanted fat. If you’ve tried conventional methods (like diet and exercise) and you still have unwanted fat on the abdomen, thighs, or waist regardless of how strenuous your efforts are or how hard you work, then let’s talk about CoolSculpting.
Candidates who decide to move forward with CoolSculpting are usually active and fit, and are seeking to sculpt away a specific problem area, like their love handles, belly fat, back fat, bra rolls, post-childbirth abdomen, thigh fat, double chin, or inner thighs, just to name a few. Look at our before and after photos if you’re interested in visualizing real CoolSculpting results. (*Results can and do vary.)
- CoolSculpting is the safest and best option when it comes to non-surgical body sculpting treatments to get rid of or eliminate unwanted fat.
- The CoolSculpting treatment requires little to no downtime, and the procedure itself is comfortable – allowing you to spot reduce pinchable fat without skipping a beat or missing a day of life.
- CoolSculpting is the name brand for a procedure called Cryolipolysis – or the scientific term for using cold to break apart and kill fat.
- CoolSculpting is the gold-standard technology available on the market, with almost a decade since it’s first FDA-clearance and more than 8-million treatments performed.

Element Body Lab CoolSculpting Results
This female client treated her upper arm fat with CoolSculpting. This before & after photo shows results from one treatment of CoolSculpting. She decided to continue with a second round of treatment for an even more dramatic result.
CoolSculpting treatments can be staged – or taken one treatment at a time. Results compound on each other and you can continue sculpting until your ideal outcome is achieved.
When Will I See My CoolSculpting Results?
CoolSculpting results can take anywhere between 3 weeks and 4 months, depending on your metabolic process. After photos are usually taken between 8 and 12 weeks after a CoolSculpting treatment at Element Body Lab.
Everyone’s response rate is a little different, so results from CoolSculpting may be noticeable as early as 3 weeks, but most patients don’t start seeing their CoolSculpting results until about 8 weeks.
If you’re thinking about CoolSculpting, plan early. You should be thinking today for how you want to look in 3-6 months. The final transformation of the procedure can often include multiple rounds of treatment (sometimes 2-3) spaced 6-8 weeks apart. Good things take time, just like CoolSculpting results.
Patients usually say they notice a gradual reduction, or a subtle improvement over time. We love how CoolSculpting acts slow – giving your friends just enough time to wonder if you’re working it off on your own, or if you had help. The “slow” process for CoolSculpting is necessary – it takes time for your body to naturally eliminate the frozen fat, but the good news is once it’s gone – it’s gone for good.
REAL PATIENT RESULTS, FROM REAL PEOPLE. LIKE YOU.
These CoolSculpting results show two rounds of treatment to the love handles or hips. This female client wanted a softer hourglass and less volume around the hips, so she felt slimmer and more confident in tight skinny jeans.
Treatment plans to the love handles are customized and the anatomical term for this area is called “FLANK”. You can sculpt above the smallest part of the waist, below the smallest part of the waist, or both. She treated the lower flank (below the smallest part of the waist) and the total fee for two rounds of treatment was $2,700 at Element Body Lab, the Dallas CoolSculpting Experts.
How Long will the Results Last?
Is CoolSculpting Permanent?
CoolSculpting gives long-lasting results. Once the treated fat cells are gone, they’re gone permanently just like in liposuction or other forms of long-lasting fat reduction. The number of fat cells you have should be fairly set in adolescence, pending a few genetic factors or hitting “critical cell size”. When you gain and lose weight, it’s fat cells getting bigger and smaller (like balloons). With CoolSculpting, we’re not shrinking the fat cells, we’re freezing and eliminating them, so once they’re gone, they’re gone for good.
Keep in mind: the remaining fat cells (CoolSculpting gets rid of 20-25%* of the treated tissue, per session) can still get bigger and smaller because of weight gain and weight loss. For that reason, we recommend sticking with a healthy lifestyle including diet and exercise. Maintain your CoolSculpting results and focus on being in the best shape of your life. You’re worth it, and you should protect your investment in yourself.

Does CoolSculpting Hurt?
Pain is subjective and everyone tolerates CoolSculpting differently. Generally CoolSculpting isn’t painful – there’s little discomfort at all and you can return to normal life as soon as you leave.
But if we’re going to be REAL with you… it kinda sucks too. Not for long, but it’s not as easy as most people depict it online. Expect some mild discomfort for the first 5-10 minutes, and again for the 5 minutes after the treatment as you “thaw out”.
HERE’S WHAT TO EXPECT. CoolSculpting uses suction and can take your breath away when applied, depending on your pain tolerance. Imagine a vacuum hose at a car wash grabbing your fat and pulling it away from the body. It’s a little intense, but you’ll be fine, and the discomfort from the “tightness” you can feel from the suction will subside after the cooling starts. Occasionally, people get dizzy or lightheaded in the first few minutes of treatment, but it’s few and far between. The cooling can be fierce, like an ice pack directly on the skin for about 5 – 10 minutes, until you naturally go numb. Remember – cold is a natural anesthetic. The rest of the treatment is easy and tolerable, and often people nap or watch a movie. At the end of the treatment, the handpiece is removed and a manual massage (aka a manipulation of the treated fat) is given. It’s often people’s least favorite part about their CoolSculpting treatments. See above – “while you thaw out”.
The team at Element Body Lab describes the massage after CoolSculpting “like taking a cold foot out of a hot bath, then rubbing right on top of a bruise for a while. It’s not comfortable, but it’s not the worst thing, especially since it helps improve results!” CoolSculpting research shows that results are ~67% improved from the massage, when performed the right way. CoolSculpting is considered a day-procedure, but talk to your CoolSculpting provider about proper expectations during your consultation so you’re prepared & ready.
DALLAS COOLSCULPTING RESULTS. PLACEMENT MATTERS.
This female client had 1 round of treatment to the inner thighs & outer thighs. She was thrilled with the results that showed slimmer, leaner legs & decided to continue on her CoolSculpting Journey with an additional round of treatment to her inner thighs.
When she originally came in, she was unsure what area really bothered her. Taking a 360-degree approach with her leg transformation gave her slimmer thighs in tight fitting clothes (outer thighs) and less chaffing while she runs (inner thighs). The cost for 1 round of CoolSculpting leg treatment results was $2,700 for the results pictured here.
How to Maintain Results, Enhance Results, or Get to Results Faster than Ever…
At Element Body Lab, we recommend the trifecta effect – or when you combine your current diet and exercise plans with CoolSculpting! At different phases of life, you’ll have different goals. If your goal is to see some type of change or improvement in an area, chances are you care about how you look. CoolSculpting is safe and effective, with many FDA-clearances across the body to freeze and eliminate unwanted fat cells for good, but it’s not the end of the equation. With no surgery, no downtime, and no medications needed for CoolSculpting, you can get back to your normal life as soon as you leave our office. But that normal life should include healthy lifestyle choices. CoolSculpting works, but it’s not a free pass.
DIET + EXERCISE + COOLSCULPTING = THE BEST RESULTS EVER.
Talk with your CoolSculpting Specialist or any of our team members if you want tips on how they personally maintain a healthy lifestyle. Each of us are committed to the trifecta effect – and we all have our own approach to how to live up to this advice.
COOLSCULPTING RESULTS FROM ELEMENT BODY LAB
This female client is in her 50s, with 4 children. She wanted to reduce belly fat with CoolSculpting and had 3 rounds of treatment to her full midsection to give her a slimmer abdomen.
The staged, or multi-treatment, approach to CoolSculpting is where patients see the most transformational results. This result included 3 rounds of treatment, for a total of 10 cycles. This CoolSculpting treatment cost $5,000 at Element Body Lab.
HELLO? IS THE DOCTOR IN?
COOLSCULPTING IS A PRESCRIPTION. YOU SHOULD MEET A DOCTOR OR HIGH LEVEL MEDICAL PROVIDER FOR ADVICE PRIOR TO PAYING FOR OR RECEIVING TREATMENT.
MAKE SURE THE OVERSEEING MEDICAL PROVIDER IS AVAILABLE FOR ANY EMERGENCIES OR QUESTIONS THAT COME UP ON (OR BEFORE) TREATMENT DAY.
THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL CAN THEN DELEGATE THE TREATMENT TO SOMEONE SPECIALIZING IN COOLSCULPTING. THAT SPECIALIST WILL MAKE SURE YOU GET THE BEST RESULTS THROUGH PRACTICAL APPLICATION OF THE TREATMENT AND THEIR EXPERIENCE DOING TREATMENTS.
CoolSculpting vs. Surgery (AKA Liposuction)?
What do You Pick and What’s the Difference?
Both CoolSculpting and liposuction target specific body areas for fat reduction. The “best option” between surgery and CoolSculpting comes down to your goals, timeline, budget, and expectations. The candidates for CoolSculpting and liposuction are often similar, so the procedures are often compared to each other.
PATIENTS SHOULD SEEK A MEDICAL OPINION TO ENSURE THEY PICK THE BEST TREATMENT OPTION TO DELIVER ON THEIR EXPECTATIONS.
That’s one of the many reasons we love offering a free consultation at our office, so you can chat with a CoolSculpting Specialist, AND a board-certified Plastic Surgeon who offers liposuction. Many practices don’t offer this, but it’s an important aspect of the journey.
Let’s talk lipo… Liposuction can be combined with a tummy tuck to add additional benefits when skin laxity is present. You can see some pretty dramatic transformations, but they come alongside being put to sleep, the need to take medications, and a few weeks of recovery. You can target the majority of the fat cells with liposuction in one sitting. You’ll be swollen for a few weeks, so expect results to take about three months.
Let’s talk CoolSculpting… CoolSculpting doesn’t involve any needles, downtime, or recovery period and is a completely non-surgical body sculpting option. Treatment times start at about 30-45 minutes, and usually last 2-3 hours. Results take 3-6 months, when you’re thinking about your total transformation. CoolSculpting doesn’t target loose (or lax) skin, which is an additional thing to consider when deciding between CoolSculpting and liposuction.
Another thing to consider is how expensive is CoolSculpting in comparison to surgery? The cost of liposuction is all paid up front, and results are immediate, upon recovery. The cost for CoolSculpting is paid out over a series of treatments, and results develop gradually in a staged approach. We get asked all the time “is CoolSculpting expensive?” and like anything else, the price can vary greatly. While not cheap, CoolSculpting is an affordable and safe option for the right candidate when considering non-surgical body sculpting or fat reduction techniques. BONUS: No one has to know you had anything done… and you can take all the credit yourself.
But… How Does CoolSculpting Work? Where Does the Fat Go After CoolSculpting?
After CoolSculpting, the fat is naturally excreted through the lymphatic system. That means you pee, poop, and sweat it out. Cute, huh?
During the CoolSculpting treatment, suction pulls the tissue up away from the body, then the fat that is targeted with CoolSculpting drops in temperature until it’s cold enough to crystalize adipose (or fat) tissue. The crystallization or change in texture is what ultimately kills and kick-starts the process to get rid of the fat. The body naturally processes out the frozen fat using the metabolic and lymphatic system, disposing of the fat without impacting or affecting the surrounding tissue. Most patients notice their fat reduction results somewhere between 3 weeks and 3 months, depending on a few factors. Once the fat is gone, it’s gone for good, and you can expect a fat reduction of about 20-25% of the treated area, with each CoolSculpting session.
Is CoolSculpting Safe? Are there any Side Effects?
There are risks in every decision you make and you should meet with a medical professional to ensure you don’t have any questions regarding CoolSculpting based on your specific medical history.
Normal client experiences and CoolSculpting side effects include some mild discomfort after the CoolSculpting treatment, with the ability to return to normal activity immediately. You may feel a little swollen, have some temporary redness and/or bruising. CoolSculpting is the safest option available and the procedure most often chosen by doctors for non-surgical fat-reduction.
You can read the patient safety information sheet, which discusses the rare side effects and safety profile on the CoolSculpting procedure, all of which are available for discussion with your medical provider during your initial consultation at Element Body Lab.
How Many Treatments Will I Need?
And How Long Does a Treatment Take?
Customizable treatments mean varied cost and varied treatment time, when thinking about how long to plan for your CoolSculpting treatment day. With the CoolAdvantage Applicator, 1 “cycle” or treatment will take about 30 minutes. The number of CoolSculpting “cycles” or treatments performed during your treatment session will vary depending on your anatomy and expectations on results. During your consultation, discuss your goals and expectations with your CoolSculpting experience, and ask for help on understanding your full journey. Most patients do 2-3 rounds of CoolSculpting, and spend 1-4 hours per session with us at Element Body Lab, but this will vary entirely on you.
The number of CoolSculpting sessions you’ll do will vary depending on your goal and your response rate. Most patients see an average reduction of between 20% and 25% on a bell curve. If you’re seeing a difference and the investment is worthwhile, you can opt to continue CoolSculpting until you’ve met your goal, if you’re medically fit for the treatment. You should start to notice results anywhere between 3 weeks and 3 months, depending on your metabolism. Treatment sessions are usually scheduled a minimum of 6 weeks apart.
Are There Different Types of CoolSculpting?
And What the Heck is a CoolAdvantage Applicator?
What about the technology of CoolSculpting itself? Is there more than one variation? Yep – Let’s talk about the CoolAdvantage Family of Applicators, the most up to date technology available from CoolSculpting.
Research behind the mechanism of action of CoolSculpting (aka cryolipolysis or fat-freezing) started back in the 1970s, and the first FDA-Clearance for CoolSculpting was received in 2009. The technology has evolved tremendously over time! There have been multiple updates to the CoolSculpting machines, regular service and maintenance needed, and the handpieces used to sculpt away body fat have all changed tremendously since CoolSculpting’s initial launch.
Element Body Lab has only one goal – to offer the best CoolSculpting in Dallas when it comes to experience and results. That’s why we offer exclusively the most up to date CoolAdvantage applicators with all CoolSculpting treatments. The Advantage technology, designed by CoolSculpting offers a 360-degree cooling cup, with a lower risk profile, greater patient comfort, and more customizable and isolated treatment options.
Element Body Lab utilizes all the applicators within the Advantage Family, including the additional contours to customize the CoolSculpting treatment to the unique curves in each patient’s body, creating more comfort and ultimately more contact with the CoolSculpting cooling panel.
Here’s a quick view of the options available to customize the CoolSculpting treatment:
The CoolAdvantage and CoolAdvantage Petite applicators both offer variable CoolSculpting treatments to the core, the curvy areas of the body, and the flat areas of the body. They are our two most popular handpieces, used everywhere from the bra line to the inner thigh, the abdomen to the banana roll, and most of what’s in between.
The CoolAdvantage Plus is the largest applicator available from CoolSculpting is most often used on the abdomen but can also be used to target love handles or back fat, on the right client.
The CoolSmooth Pro CoolSculpting Applicator is most commonly used to target outer thighs, abdomens and love handles. The CoolSmooth Pro is the only applicator available from CoolSculpting that does not use suction, providing an additional adjustable option within your treatment.
The CoolMini CoolSculpting Applicator is specifically made for the double chin, knees, and bra fat. The CoolMini applicator is the smallest handpiece currently offered within the CoolSculpting family to date.
THE ENTIRE COOLSCULPTING EXPERIENCE IS CUSTOMIZED, INCLUDING THE SIZES OF THE HANDPIECES USED TO DELIVERY COOLING.
What Areas Can You Treat with CoolSculpting?
CoolSculpting is the gold standard non-surgical body sculpting treatment to target and kill subcutaneous (or pinchable) fat between the chin and the knees. A physical exam with a licensed medical professional is required to ensure you are an appropriate candidate. Meet with our team to learn if you’re a candidate for this fat-freezing technique.
Can CoolSculpting Help?
Creating a customized treatment plan is the JOY in what we do. Identifying the complaints of our clients is key. We don’t just want to know what bugs you – we want to get down into the details of why you’re talking to us about freezing your fat. CoolSculpting can be tailored to address trouble spots, tough places to target with traditional weight loss, diet, or exercise. When clients come in, here’s the things they’re trying to solve…
- “I want to get rid of my love handles (or muffin top).” – Love handles is a term used to describe the area around the waistline, specifically the sides of the body around the belly. Love handles are one of the most popular (if not THE most popular) treatment area we see, especially in combination with belly fat CoolSculpting to target and kill the fat that protrudes around the pant line.
- “I’ve got a double chin that won’t go away no matter how thin I am.” – CoolSculpting can chisel a more defined chin or jawline through nonsurgical measures. The fat under the chin is something that’s so hard to target with traditional weight loss measures, but can be isolated and frozen away through a process called cryolipolysis – which is FDA cleared for both reduction in the fat layer & improvement in skin laxity to the submandibular area (aka double chin).
- “What can I do for belly fat that just won’t budge?” – CoolSculpting safely and effectively targets unwanted, pinchable abdominal fat. The visceral fat that’s located deeper in the abdominal cavity, below the muscle wall is not impacted by CoolSculpting. Luckily, visceral fat is easier to impact with traditional diet + exercise, so you work on your homework of healthy lifestyle choices, and freeze the subcutaneous fat with us!
- “Can I slim down through my hips or target saddle bags (aka outer thighs)?” – Saddlebags refer to the fat that builds up around the hips or outer thighs. Sometimes, fat lingers around the thighs, hips, buttocks, or legs, depending on many different factors. Target stubborn thigh fat, slimming the saddle bags to create softer, natural looking curves.
- “I always have more fat right here that feels un-proportional.” – Body proportion is important to everyone – men & women alike. This is especially true when the hips extend to a width that’s wider than desired. CoolSculpting can impact the fat deposits around the hips that are difficult to target and remove with healthy lifestyle choices.
- “I notice my bra fat every time I get dressed!” – Soft and smooth lines at the bra area can impact dramatically how you feel in a fitted shirt or dress. Bra bulges can be caused from excess fat in a few areas – between the armpit and chest (armpit fat/bra puff), or at the visual step off caused by a tight bra both above and below the bra line. Whatever the worry, CoolSculpting can isolate and freeze away the flabby, pinchable tissue you notice through clothes.
- “No oblique work is getting rid of my back fat and I don’t like this crease.” – CoolSculpting can safely treat the unwanted fat located on the back. From the shoulders, all the way down to the pant line, CoolSculpting can target back fat on men & women, and treatment plans are customized based on your unique anatomy.
- “Does it work on male chest (can I ditch the man boobs)?” – Fellas who’ve got fatty deposits on the chest can (sometimes) freeze it away with CoolSculpting. Gynecomastia is the scientific term for enlarged breast tissue, but slang on the streets for this condition coin the term “moobs”. It’s important to know whether the unwanted volume is caused by fat or breast tissue to know whether this treatment wil work for you – which is determined at your free consultation with our medical director.
- “I hate my muffin top. I’ve always had it, even when I was at my thinnest!” – Muffin top is the slang used to describe the body fat that bulges or spills over the waistline of clothes – specifically pants or skirts. We refer to the muffin top as love handles, or “flanks”, here at Element Body Lab, but whatever you call it… we love freezing away this area for men & women.
- “My inner thighs feel bulky and they always rub together.” – If you’re wanting less volume in the legs, you may be looking at CoolSculpting to the legs. The inner thigh treatment for CoolSculpting addresses the volume on the interior part of the leg, or where the legs rub together and cause chaffing.
- “What about this other thing?”…. LET’S TALK ABOUT WHATEVER YOU’VE GOT ON YOUR MIND… CoolSculpting is about addressing the concerns or trouble spots that are unique to you. Usually, our patients are happy with their body weight, but just notice this 1 spot that’s hard to target or last to respond. They’re looking to feel a little more confident, a little slimmer, or a little less distracted by that area. Let’s talk about it together…
And What About CoolSculpting at Home?
Can’t I Just Freeze Fat with an Ice Pack?
CoolSculpting machines are a prescriptive medical device in the great State of Texas. The device is sold and produced by Zeltiq, an Allergan, Inc. Affiliate, who holds the exclusive patent on the fat-freezing technology of cryolipolysis.
IN ORDER TO TRIGGER AN APOPTOTIC (AKA PROGRAMMED CELL DEATH) RESPONSE AND TRULY KILL A FAT CELL, YOU MUST HOLD THE FAT CELL AT A SPECIFIC TEMPERATURE, FOR A SPECIFIC AMOUNT OF TIME. The products you buy online to freeze fat at home just don’t have the ability to do that. There’s also risks involved in freezing fat & you’ll need some medical advice to ensure it’s safe & is going to work.
The CoolSculpting treatment was designed specifically for medical doctors to operate and/or delegate to appropriately trained CoolSculpting providers in a controlled environment. CoolSculpting technicians should be specially trained in this revolutionary technology and understand the safety features of the CoolSculpting machine and supplies. A qualified medical professional should also be involved to oversee any potential risks or complications that may occur during the procedure. Do us a favor and don’t try CoolSculpting at home. Leave this one to the medical professionals and their highly trained team.
